Fresh Focaccia Bread with Pesto

Description

Focaccia Bread is known and enjoyed all over the world.  In Roman times it was cooked over coals and today it's garnished in many different ways all adding to it's robust flavor and crispy yet fluffy texture.  In this class, we will prepare Focaccia Bread completely from scratching using a quick rising method so you can enjoy bread fresh from the oven by the end of class.

As a bonus, you'll also learn to make fresh pesto by hand using a mortar & pestle.  Enjoy your warm, fresh Focaccia Bread dipped in or drizzled with fresh pesto.  Taste testing your creation fresh out of the oven will be the highlight of the class.  Enjoy this intro to bread baking experience, all while staying true to the roots of the craft.

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).

Guests in the same booking party will work together throughout the class.  Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in.  Drinks are available for purchase from the venue and are NOT included in the ticket price. Outside drinks are not allowed. 21+ only.

Tommaso was co-owner of the Italian restaurant TANTI BACI in NYC, before spending time in Peru to learn about Amazonian produce and agricultural practice. It was in Peru that he started the tomato sauce brand DUE AMICI, which is still being sold in Lima today. After moving back to NYC, Tommaso opened PROPRIO COSI, a company that will serve “on the go” organic food, with ingredients from local farms and businesses. He’s also the producer of the literary podcast FICTIONZ, a bimonthly series of premium narrative podcasts based on award-winning short stories and novels.

Guest requirement

Class will take place on the Terrace of the hotel.  The nature of our classes are set up so that booking parties will work together during class, sharing both ingredients and equipment.  Drinks are NOT included in the ticket price, but will be available for sale at the venue.  Outside drinks are not allowed. 21+ only.   For any guests booked individually, if you are part of a larger group please email hello@cocusocial.com at least 48 hours prior to your class to confirm your full booking party size and the names of the others in your group.

Cancellation policy
Reschedule request have to be made at least 48 hours before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 14 days for groups of 6 people or more. Cancellations are not permitted and tickets are non-refundable.See terms and policy.
